FOLLOW UP FOOD AND SAFETY TRAINING

On 2nd February 2026 Seriti Road hosted a valuable follow-up training session in partnership with Central University of Technology, Free State, aimed at strengthening food safety practices among local vendors. This initiative forms part of Seriti Road’s ongoing commitment to empowering small-scale entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills needed to grow sustainable, responsible businesses.

During the session, vendors were guided through essential food safety principles, including proper hygiene, safe food handling, storage practices, and the importance of maintaining standards that protect the health and wellbeing of their customers. The training not only reinforced practical skills but also helped build confidence among participants, equipping them to operate more professionally and meet increasing expectations within the local marketplace.

At the conclusion of the workshop, attendees received certificates of attendance in recognition of their commitment to improving their practices and investing in their own development. These certificates represent more than participation — they reflect each vendor’s dedication to excellence and their role in contributing to a safer, healthier community.

Seriti Road remains proud to facilitate opportunities that uplift local vendors, strengthen livelihoods, and foster long-term economic resilience through education, partnership, and community support.
